What is Real Talk?
Over the past three years, KNetic has become home to some of the most meaningful conversations about ethical non-monogamy in Calgary. What started as casual chats and one-off discussion nights has grown into something deeper. We’ve created a community of people coming together to talk honestly about the real work of open relationships.
This year we’re continuing that momentum with Real Talk @ KNetic: a monthly gathering where we explore topics like communication, trust, boundaries, jealousy, and emotional safety. Each session is grounded in a shared article, podcast, or short reading, and guided by a clear agenda to keep our conversations focused, supportive, and real.
You’re welcome to come to one session or attend them all. Each month stands on its own, but taken together, the series offers a powerful arc of learning, reflection, and connection.
Whether you’re part of the lifestyle community, into swinging, polyamorous, or simply ENM-curious, you’re invited to take part. KNetic is already a space people love, and Real Talk gives you one more reason to feel at home here.
Everyone is welcome.
All genders, all sexualities, all relationship styles.
There is no charge for this KNetic Community Event. Please RSVP to hold your spot.
The KNetic Bar will be open. No outside food or beverages allowed.
April 28 • Jealousy & Insecurity:
When Big Feelings Come Up
Session 4
Jealousy happens. In this session, we’ll talk openly about what fuels jealousy and insecurity, what those feelings are trying to tell us, and how we can respond with compassion rather than control. This is not about pretending it’s easy, it’s about learning to stay present when it’s hard.
